Scorpio Full Moon | May 12

This month’s full moon is in Scorpio, the sign that speaks to death, rebirth, and transformation. Scorpio’s tarot card is The Death card, that can symbolise powerful endings that create space for new beginnings.

At the end of April, we planted seeds under the new moon in Taurus, focusing on what we truly value and want to grow. Now, the full moon in Scorpio is nudging us to clear the way for those intentions. This water sign wants us to wash away any stagnancy and face what lies beneath the surface (shadow work) helping us shed anything that no longer serves our growth, and confront any uncomfortable truths that might be holding us back. 

The Polarity of the Cycle
The New Moon in Taurus (Earth) asked us to lay stable foundations, grounded in our values. The Full Moon in Scorpio (Water) encourages emotional release, helping us clear unconscious blocks. Together, these phases form a cycle: we begin by planting our intentions and are now invited to commit to them by making space for their growth.

Trust what arises during this time, allowing them to move freely. Working through such things might be rocky, but this is all part of the process.

On this powerful moon, the Wesak Festival is also taking place - a sacred Buddhist festival honourng the birth, enlightenment, and passing of the Buddha. This festival amplifies the collective energy on this full moon, offering us an opportunity to weave moments of compassion, healing and peace into our own rituals and lives.
