As we move through the day, our minds fill quickly with to-do lists, emotional reactions, physical stimuli, problem-solving, and noise from every direction. Even when we begin the morning grounded or calm, it’s easy to lose that sense of peace as the day unfolds.
Here are five simple ways to pause the internal chatter amid the busyness (bonus points if you keep a jar of Peace Balm within reach).
1. Pick the slower option
Obviously, not always possible, but peace is often found in the slow lane. Take the scenic route. Walk instead of Uber. Choose the checkout with a human behind it. Take an extra few moments to chew, breathe, and actually notice your food.
2. Change your environment
Sometimes the quickest way to interrupt overthinking is to move your body to a different space. Step outside and let the sun hit your face (SPF first, of course). Take a five-minute lap around the block. Shift your home office to a different room. A small physical change can often reset the nervous system.

3. Delay your reaction
Emails, texts, and DMs fill our days, creating a sense of urgency. Most don’t require an immediate response. Let them sit while you allow yourself to find the peace between stimulus and response.
4. Choose quiet
Modern life is loud. Radio, TV, podcasts, and reels have turned sound into the default. Try turning off your audiobook on a commute, or your playlist on a run – let peace fill the space instead.
5. Finish one small thing
Unfinished tasks create low-level mental noise. Completing something simple, like folding the laundry, replying to one message, or wiping down a bench can bring a surprising sense of relief and clarity.
Need a bit more peace? Our Peace blend offers soothing notes of lavender, clary sage, vetiver + more - all that hold the incredible ability to motion to your nervous system that it is time to chill out & move from a state of fight or flight to rest and recover.
